Transmission of Raw Water from the Kiso River (TRWKR);
 The social experiment of the Transmission of Raw Water from the Kiso River to the Horikawa River is one of the policies of Nagoya City, for clarify the Horikawa River.  Based on the River law of Japan, the social experiment's term is determined to conclude within three years, from 2007 to 2009. It can be said that Nagoya citizen's movement for clarification of the Horikawa River has realized the implementation of this social experiment.

COP10;
 COP - or "Conference of the Parties" - refers to a meeting attended by contracting parties to an international convention.
Thus, "COP10 to the Convention on Biological Diversity" refers to the 10th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
 It is decided to be taken place in Nagoya from 18th Oct. to 29th 2010. About 4,000 participants will be delegated from 190 countries and regions to this conference.

Meijyo Water Treatment Center;
 Meijyo Water Treatment Center is one of the sewerage plants of Nagoya City, and it started sewerage treatement in 1965.

 This center discharges 0.5m3/sec treated water to the Horikawa River. Then Nagoya city has the plan of introducing the high quality level treatment for this plant to clarify the Horikawa River water.
